Lois was born on January 5th in Houghton Lake, Michigan.  Growing up Lois attended church regularly with her family and accepted Christ during a vacation Bible school class at the age of seven.  During high school a personal crisis led her to rededicate her life to the Lord.

After high school Lois went on to attend Michigan State University, where she earned a B.S. in psychology.  During her time at MSU, Lois was active in Campus Crusade for Christ, where she first felt her call to missions.  She began preparations for the mission field in 1988 when she attended The Institute of Frontier Missions, a training school for church planters operated by YWAM.  She then joined YWAM in April of 1990 and was assigned to Narita, Japan under the direction of Bill and Danece Stapleton.  It was through the Stapletons that Lois came to have her first encounter with YCC.

Lois says, “I have been very blessed by the generous financial and prayer support of YCC… What a privilege to have loving, faithful friends on earth that willingly share my burdens, lifting them up regularly in prayer on my behalf!”

Lois has several personal prayer requests, which include strength against discouragement, ability and anointing to preach in Japanese, and sensitivity to God’s direction.  She also has several prayer requests for the church, which are for unity, to build a greater commitment to God, God’s direction in new projects, and the ministry to high school kids.

Lois’ life verse is 2 Timothy 1:12, “For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know in whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.”
