2010 Zimbabwe - Mozambique Outreach
July 2 - 23, 2010
Extreme Mission Challenge!  This is an opportunity to become involved in a pioneer church planting movement in one of the remotest areas of Southern Africa. Over the past 12 years the Pembertons of Hippo Valley Christian Mission and Chiredzi Christian Children’s Home have taken several forays into Mozambique, aiming at evangelism and church planting. Ephraim Tshuma, a Zimbabwean pastor working with the Pembertons, has tenaciously discipled 3 young men who live in the region and show great promise as evangelists.   This has resulted in the planting of 2
solid churches in the Masangena area.  In 2007 YCC Global Outreach sponsored a church plant in the border town of Chicualacuala, to link the 2 interior churches with the mission in Chiredzi, Zimbabwe. With these 3 churches in place, the way will be open to reach inward into reaching the entire province.

The team will fly first to Harare, then 4 hours by car to Chiredzi.  Christian Business Seminars, Discipleship Training will be our scheduled activity,  and we'll also work with the mission, visiting the orphanages and children's home.  We will travel to Chicualacuala on the weekend to meet the Pastor there and encourage the church, attending their Sunday worship.  The latter part of our time on ground will be spent back in Harare with NMSI missionaries.

A rigorous schedule and hard work will provide opportunities for deepening relationships and true discipleship that changes the lives of individuals, both those doing the work and those for whom the work is to be done.

Cost of this outreach is approx. $3000.00 (YCC Global Outreach has some funds to help, and will help participants as they raise the remainder of their costs.)  Contact Outreach Leader Bill Stapleton for more details.
