| Several years ago YCC Global Outreach began working with Hands of Mercy
to provide low-cost, safe homes for homeless people in the Mexican
border area. Two of our YCC families work long-term with HOM, Steve
& SaraLee Johnson and the Danny & Joy Vaness. Eventually we
found it better to work on our own schedule, using the Hands of Mercy
plans, and putting the panels together in our parking lot, then
trailering them across the border to build the houses on site. Dave
Whitlock is our point man for YCC Loft Houses, and the schedule for
both local and on-site builds is on our calendar. Anyone can do it and
it's a great way to get your feet wet in mission work.
