YCC Global Outreach is a part of and operates under the auspices of Yucaipa Christian Church, 12954 Bryant St. Yucaipa, CA 92399 (hereafter referred to as "the church").  YCC Global Outreach  respects the privacy of every individual with whom we work, including anyone who attends our outreach events, supports missionaries under our care, visits our websites, applies for financial or other support and/or maintains an administrative position on our board.

This privacy statement provides notice of the standards and terms under which YCC Global Outreach protects the privacy of information supplied by individuals who become involved with YCC Global Outreach through any of our endeavors and enterprises, including visitors to www.yccglobaloutreach.com, our site on the World Wide Web. This privacy statement provides notice of our information collection practices and of the ways in which that information may be used. This policy may change from time to time.  Interested parties should check the website www.yccglobaloutreach.com periodically to review this information.

Definitions
Constituents, in the context of this privacy policy,  are persons who benefit from the non-profit Christian mission enterprises of YCC Global Outreach, acting in behalf of our parent organization, Yucaipa Christian Church, including missionaries who receive financial and other support, volunteers on outreach events or other projects, church members inquiring as to the status and well-being of missionaries, users of websites and web pages under YCC Global Outreach’s control, members of the YCC Global Outreach board, and members of the general public who associate themselves, either personally or informally via regular mail, email or other communications media, with YCC Global Outreach.  When YCC Global Outreach receives or collects any information on any person, that person becomes a constituent of YCC Global Outreach for purposes including, but not necessarily limited to the management of that information.  This policy statement describes how information may be collected and used by YCC Global Outreach, including how and under what circumstances it may be used.

Outreach Events, in the context of this privacy policy,  are short-term excursions organized under the auspices of and by members of the YCC Global Outreach board for the purpose of helping in the Christian task of global evangelization and aiding those less fortunate than ourselves.  Persons participating in and leading these events are volunteers, not employees of YCC Global Outreach or its parent organization, Yucaipa Christian Church.  No profit or gain is in view as these events are planned and executed and all proceeds from these enterprises and endeavors return to the financial accounts of YCC Global Outreach under the general accounting practices and accountability to the leadership of Yucaipa Christian Church, Inc. a 501(c)3 non-profit entity.  YCC Global Outreach understands that we do not control, nor do we necessarily plan or execute all outreach events and enterprises for Yucaipa Christian Church, and that such events and enterprises may also arise from other organizations or boards under the church’s authority, or casually among informal groups of members of the church.  YCC Global Outreach holds no liability for collection or use of information in connection with any outreach event other than those specifically planned, scheduled and administrated by the YCC Global Outreach board. 

Participants, constituents, leaders and others who participate in or otherwise become involved in outreach activities and events sponsored under the auspices of YCC Global Outreach do so at their own risk and sign written statements certifying their understanding of the risk of activities including, but not limited to travel, involvement with the governments and people of other countries, transportation by air, sea, rail and automobile, exposure to hazardous environments and the possibility of personal loss, including, but not limited to physical-medical, emotional, real material and financial loss as a result of their involvement in these activities. 

YCC Global Outreach considers information shared with agents of any government or company on behalf of our constituents, as a part of preparation or certification for travel, entry to another country, obtaining of medical assistance, or any other reason, to be privileged information, not to be openly shared with any other individual outside the sphere of those whose responsibility it is to make decisions using the information in question, with a view to accomplishing the outreach event or activity.  YCC Global Outreach agents, leaders and planners share personal information only as it becomes absolutely necessary in order to accomplish an outreach event or activity, and therefore hold no liability for the dissemination of that information beyond their own individual precautions, taken to secure the identity and personal information of constituents on whose behalf they act.

Missionaries, in the context of this privacy policy, specifically defines individuals approved by the board of YCC Global Outreach to receive financial and other support coming from Yucaipa Christian Church through the administrative process of YCC Global Outreach.  These missionaries, it is understood, may work under the auspices of other (third-party) mission organizations, may employ other (third-party) financial management organizations and may or may not consider themselves or be considered to be members of Yucaipa Christian Church, the parent organization of YCC Global Outreach. YCC Global Outreach’s information privacy policy extends only to the information YCC Global Outreach officially collects and holds regarding those missionaries.  Our policy does not include or extend to the collection practices of other (third-party) organizations or entities and information shared by those other (third-party) organizations about YCC Global Outreach missionaries is not subject to these policies.  For purposes of operational security YCC Global Outreach does not post or distribute any information concerning the specific on-field locations of our missionaries.

A. Personally-Identifiable Information:
YCC Global Outreach typically receives specific data about its constituent missionaries, project volunteers, outreach event participants, board members and website visitors only when such information is provided voluntarily, such as when individuals apply to participate in an outreach event, when missionaries provide resume information for financial support opportunities, when members are inducted to the board, or when individuals send us e-mail. Of course, some of these activities require us to gather information, such activities may include but are not limited to:

• When volunteers apply to participate in fundraising activities in order to attend an outreach event.
• When checks are processed to cover outreach expenses,
• When electronic fund transfers are made between banks for the purpose of covering expenses.
• When missionaries or board members submit a resume or personal biography.
• When credit card numbers are used to process reimbursements of expenses incurred as part of an outreach event.
• When email addresses and other electronic information are collected in the course of communications.

When you provide personally-identifiable information to YCC Global Outreach through our website or by other means, it will be used to fulfill your specific request. In most cases, you will be given the opportunity to select whether you do, or do not, want YCC Global Outreach to use this information for additional purposes. You may also request that YCC Global Outreach not use your information by sending an e-mail to privacy@yccglobaloutreach.com, however, YCC Global Outreach reserves the right, in its discretion, to send you bulletins and other important information about YCC Global Outreach. YCC Global Outreach will not sell or trade your personally-identifiable information unless we are authorized or legally required to do so, or in the case of imminent physical harm to the individual or others. On those YCC Global Outreach forms where you may provide YCC Global Outreach with credit card or other ordering information, via the web, YCC Global Outreach protects and secures this information by employing commercially customary web-based security and encryption protocols, an example of which include Secure Socket Layer (SSL). In any written format in which you may provide YCC Global Outreach with personal or financial information, the single form will be kept secure in our filing system until it is no longer needed and then destroyed by shredding, along with other such materials.  On websites or pages where you voluntarily offer any feedback, data, answers, questions, comments, suggestions, ideas or the like, YCC Global Outreach will treat that portion of the information as non-confidential and non-proprietary and, except as otherwise expressed in this privacy statement, YCC Global Outreach assumes no obligation to protect such information from disclosure.

B. Non Personally-Identifiable (Generic) Information:
In general, YCC Global Outreach gathers some generic information automatically. Generic information does NOT reveal the identity of the visitor. It usually includes information about the Internet address assigned to a computer, the number and frequency of visitors to the YCC Global Outreach site, etc. YCC Global Outreach gathers this information for the limited purpose of determining patron service and improvement of communications. We may accomplish this by employing certain technologies, including "cookies" (a technology that can be used to provide the visitor with tailored information about YCC Global Outreach). YCC Global Outreach does not combine information collected in this way with any personally-identifiable information. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie from our site and you can refuse it.

C. YCC Global Outreach-Hosted Pages, Bulletin Boards and Third-Party Sites:
YCC Global Outreach may employ the services of a third-party firm in managing and/or hosting our web presence.  In general, any third-party firm we employ will adhere to a similar or more restrictive information privacy policy than ours, stated in this document.  However, employing a third-party firm implies certain risks to the privacy of information shared through the media in transmission to or from the site and also in its handling by administrators, managers and workers at the third-party site.  YCC Global Outreach assumes no obligation to protect information from disclosure while it is being handled by a third-party service firm we have employed.
Information that you disclose in a public space, including on any bulletin board, chat room, or web page YCC Global Outreach may host is available to anyone else who visits that space. YCC Global Outreach cannot safeguard any information you disclose in these locations. Do not post any sensitive personal or financial information in any of these public spaces.  Additionally, YCC Global Outreach web pages may contain links to sites that belong to third parties unrelated to YCC Global Outreach. YCC Global Outreach cannot protect any information you may disclose in these sites and recommends that you review the privacy policy statements of those sites you visit through links which may exist on our site prior to posting or divulging any personal or sensitive information.

D. Exceptions and Limitations:
Notwithstanding the foregoing and in compliance with applicable laws, YCC Global Outreach (i) cooperates fully with state, local, and federal officials in any investigation relating to any content (including personal or private electronic communications transmitted to YCC Global Outreach) or purported unlawful activities of any user of our services, and (ii) takes reasonable measures to protect its proprietary rights. For the limited purposes of accomplishing such cooperation and measures and in compliance with applicable laws, YCC Global Outreach may be required to disclose personally identifiable information. In addition, YCC Global Outreach may elect to monitor the areas of communication of any kind (i) to satisfy any law, regulation, or government request; (ii) if such disclosure is necessary or appropriate to operate YCC Global Outreach; or (iii) to protect the rights or property of YCC Global Outreach, its constituent missionaries or others. YCC Global Outreach reserves the right to transfer your information (including, but not limited to name, address information, and other information you provided to YCC Global Outreach) to a third party that agrees to be YCC Global Outreach's successor in interest with regard to the maintenance and protection of information collected and maintained by YCC Global Outreach; and agrees to the obligations of this policy statement.

E. Notification of Changes:
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our site www.yccglobaloutreach.com so our constituents can be aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we would notify our constituents by way of email. Constituents will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner.
