Our Heartbreak
In Matthew 9:36 - 38 we read:

When Jesus saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;  therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Then in Matthew 10:1-4 we read the list of the 12 disciples' names for the first time. Between the two chapters something happened.  Jesus instructed them to pray for God to send laborers into the harvest, and the next thing we see is that they have become laborers in the harvest.  All Jesus did was ask them to pray, but in the process they became the answer to their own prayers.  Our hearts break as we know God's heart does, when we think of the hundreds of thousands of people forced to live in slavery worldwide. This page is dedicated to chronicling some of what is happening in those areas.  Watch the videos, look at the pictures, think and pray; and let your heart break too.  Then pray.  Perhaps you will become the answer to your own prayer.
